For example, smaller strips are used in smaller doors for easier pass through. As the door gets taller, you can increase the width of the strip and still maintain easy passage. We have also kept in mind that taller doors typically require more overlap for better air block. Drafy or windy conditions or heavy mechanical traffic such as forklifts require thicker vinyl and so on...

Overlap of the vinyl strips on your door are based on the door height, the location and kind of traffic. Ameri-Brand offers (5) different widths of strip material and are available in six different overlap patterns.
Overlap configurations:
- For interior doors apply minimum strip overlap
- For exterior doors apply maximum overlap
- For heavy-duty traffic applications, use offset double-ribbed material
